![]() Paul's suggestion is vastly superior for me time and effort wise because I can quickly select the polygons, then just Quick Planar Map them using that button and voila- I have the shape I want without having to fuss around with the polygons within the template. ![]() I attached a screen shot to illustrate.įinally, is there a similar but reverse procedure for splitting/breaking a poly from another poly? With this proccess the layout is really distorted. However, this process seems to be worse for me than Paul's suggestion in that the Template is extremely distorted.with Paul's suggestion, I got the layout in the Template essentially optimized just off in terms of Scale and position. Max crashes at step 3.note that because of Max's Recover feature the Seam is actually being Welded and eliminated as each time I reopen Max, the Seam that I had been working with is gone. ![]() ![]() Clicking either back on the Edge I previously selected or simply clicking anywhere else. Maybe I don't understand how to use Weld All Selected Seams.ģ. Right now each time I use Weld All Selected Seams it seems to do what I want.however Max crashes immediately.so it's sort of problematic. I selected the edge that I want to eliminate and then I wasn't sure which of the Weld buttons to use.Target Weld? or Weld All Selected Seams? Thanks for the info.I didn't quite understand how to do what your describing.
